"Just Granduated"!

At 6pm tonight we entered the ROCK where we attend Church to find a lovely setting with fancy table clothes, candles and classmates all dressed up. We were greeted by Linda and Pastor Fred and seated ourselves at a great table which we shared with another couple and a single man. We had a good dinner, presentation, slide show and we all received our Certificates for completing the class called E&E (exemplary husband and excellent wife)..........We were really proud.

Pastor John and Kay spoke and told a few funnies and we all had a fun time. At the end, we had a group shot taken in the sanctuary. Wow, it was about 90 people.

I presented my husband Tom with a new Bible in large print. He was very happy and surprised.

I feel good and blessed and last night I took part in the Harvest Crusade at Angel Stadium. It was quite a message on HOPE! Without hope one can not live!

"A New Experience Today"

Today is the day that my husband's band (Tommy Van & The Bounty Hunters) play at the Calimesa Country Club where they host the Concerts On The Green. It's a first for him and we are hoping to have a great time. We got a phone call last night saying that the paper had the info mixed up about his band so we don't know quite what to expect? I will be taking some of our home-grown tomatoes to share with neighbors and some avocados too!

I took a "break" yesterday from the mundane chores at home and went out and about. I had several of my pictures developed from our last few activities and am enjoying looking at them and getting ready to "share" them with family. I had a hotdog at Costco which is always a treat and just shopped around and it was fun.

Our daughter-in-law's Birthday is on Monday and I am not quite ready with her gifts. She is easy to please but I just don't know what to get yet. Our grand-daughter is doing great in school and our grand-son is still getting his "warnings" for not paying attention. He will do just fine!!

Last night we listened to the Irish Band at Hart Park called the Fenian's. They were wonderful and the park was packed. I saw lots of people I know and had a great time with a few girlfriends.

Life is sweet and remember to always do "something nice"!! Share your gift!!

"Blessings For Family & Friends"

On Thursday evening we met some of our friends who were visiting from Idaho. We drove to Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station to join them for dinner and a stroll on the beach. The sister of my friend (Donna) came too along with her husband and a niece. What nice people but how sad to find out that their daughter was dying of Cancer which she was recently diagnosed with.

Friday night Tom's band played at the Fullerton Elk's Lodge which was a hoot and Donna & Brent came with a cousin (Vern) and we had a great time. There were several other friends who joined us too. Donna was sad about her niece dying which we can understand for sure.

Saturday evening after we got home from church and a little bite to eat, my daughter called and we had a nice chat for a "very" long time from Australia. She is in my prayers everyday and I love her and miss her. This morning our son called to tell us that his wife's Grandfather had passed away.

Gosh, our prayers go out to those who have suffered and are suffering now...............Blessings to all ot them!

"Amazing Time".........

I scurried out the door with my arms full of little gifts for my friend from High School who was turning 65 the next day. I gave her a clipping from the Plumeria Tree, an old fashion bag with Lemonade Mix in it and a little "cup-cake" with sprinkles and a sign with 65th on it. I arrived at her house and when she saw me with my arms full she hugged me and was soooooooo happy! I love sharing "my" gift of giving to others.

I felt blessed to go to my 1st "Set In Stone" at the Rock Church last night where we share the Word of God from the Holy Bible. I took my friend (Cris) with me and she truly enjoyed her experience also. The guest speaker was very good and told a story from the book of Job and would you believe that the bottom line of the story was "pray for others" and you will be blessed which is a beautiful way of "giving".

Speaking of "giving"; Would I just love to give my sweet daughter in Australia a big hug. She posted a nastalgic picture on her blog and it is just wonderful looking at the picture and sharing her ride down "memory lane" with her.

Blessings to you all!

#1 Grand-daughter's 9th Birthday!

What a day! Today was Caitlin's 9Th Birthday and we celebrated at Libbey Lou's @ Downtown Disney. The first thing they do is the face with hearts & stars with silver glitter, then the nails with glitter and then the hair topped with a "tiara"! She looked soooooooo darn cute along with her little girlfriend Adrianna. They both picked out a few gifts that come with the package and then we paraded around having fun while people turned to look and said "Happy Birthday Caitlin"! Oh, they put a tag on your back that has your name and Birthday!!

I did bring cupcakes that I ordered from a specialty shop that were decorated just perfect. They were red velvet with purple icing topped with a decoration ie; little sugared purses, mirror, make-up compact or perfume bottle or vanilla with pink icing and the same topping. Yummy they were!

After we enjoyed some sun and shopping, we met Daddy Tom, Grandpa Tom and little Alex at Miguel's for a great Mexican dinner. Then off to the house to open presents and to have dessert and open gifts and just share some time together. What more could a grand-parent want?

I am blessed to have a sweet grand-daughter who we love , love, love.

Another blessed day in California.............
